The pre-locked bolt is retracted by actuating the lever handle. The door can be opened. The door can be locked and unlocked by turning the key. Function from the outside: The door has a fixed knob on the outside. After the door is pulled to, it is neither locked nor secured. The door can be locked and unlocked by turning the key.
