Beyer & Müller GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1887 in Heiligenhaus and is a medium-sized, owner-managed company. We develop and manufacture special locks and fittings for industry and retail. In 2014, we moved to newly built modern production and administration premises in the open countryside in Velbert. The company is run by the fifth generation of the family and employs around 90 people.

The hierarchical levels are flat, the coordination channels short. Good ideas are always welcome, no matter who they come from - the main thing is that they take us forward! Our corporate culture is characterized by responsibility, reliability and respectful cooperation.

We are proud of the many young people who have successfully completed their training with us over the past decades. The practical training has given them a good base for a successful career. Many of these former "apprentices" are still with us today and in this way contribute to the success of our company: they know our company, our products and the processes inside out.  

We offer school students interesting insights into our company, as interns or holiday workers. We also offer adults the opportunity of an internship. 

We are pleased that many of our employees' children are doing an internship or training with us and often earn their first wage during the school holidays. 

Our trainees in the technical professions receive a structured introduction to all machining techniques in the metal sector, both conventionally and on modern CNC equipment, during their first year of training in the joint training workshop (JTW) in Velbert. Apprentices in commercial professions learn about the individual departments and activities from the first day of training through a structured plan. 

Continuing education and training is important to us: be it with an additional qualification (e.g. as a technician) or through qualified courses to expand your knowledge (e.g. in the design area).

The company is part of the training initiative of the Schlüsselregion e.V. association and maintains a lively exchange with other companies and training companies in order to stay up to date.

We maintain a cooperation with a large Velbert sports club. Several times a year we offer an "open door" to individual teams of this club: Our trainees and skilled workers present the individual departments and their own work. In this way, visitors receive detailed information about the apprenticeships we offer.

Internships

Today, young people can choose from a wide range of occupations (currently there are around 340 training occupations, some with different specialisations). To offer insights into the different professions, vocational project weeks are held in schools, which also include internships in companies. 

During these internships, the students gain insights into individual professions and can obtain information from the skilled workers and trainees on site. You will definitely gain intensive experience!

Holiday jobs

A good way to gain an insight into working life is to get a holiday job. Earning money while doing so is not bad at all. There is also another advantage: You get to know our company, we get to know you and we can give you tips for a possible apprenticeship. Perhaps you will complete your training with us later?
